Mar 23, 2013 · I had this same problem on my Fiesta Mk7 (2014) soon after I bought it last month. I have seen several reasons given on this forum and suggestions including replacing the audio switch, squirting WD40, rebooting the system etc. Pressing the switch sometimes worked or not, or pressing the volume button changed channels/track and vice versa.

I don’t believe the FiST has an emergency release for the rear hatch since it’s not an enclosed space like a trunk. I do think you should verify that your new battery is working properly. I have put “new” batteries in FOBs before and they didn’t work because the “new” battery was dead. Try in something else or use a meter to check it.

So the easiest thing to do is remove the plastic on the inside, close the boot while sitting in the boot and try to open it with the knob/remote control key. Feb 29, 2020 · Hold the trip reset button in while pressing the iginition on button. The led display should show test page. Press the trip button again and all the led display should light up. If anything is missing you will see it. Might be a bad connection on the back of the led display, or a bad led display.

Dec 7, 2022 · Mk6 Fiesta boot release is completely different to the Focus. It has a solenoid popper which can be activated by a button on the dash or button the keyfob. No handle on the tailgate. Ford knew this would break soon enough, so fitted an actual key barrel release into the tailgate as well, unlike the Focus! 2.
